SEO or search engine optimization is one of the most competitive lines of work currently on the internet. The job of the SEO is to basically get
their clients websites ranked in the first page of the major search engines (google, yahoo and bing) for their main keywords. For instance, if you have
a website that sells furniture related items then your keywords will be related to furniture and it is the job of your search engine optimzation
specialist to get your keywwords ranked in the firts page of the search engines. That being said, it is one of the hardest things to do because
there will be tens of thousands up to millions of competitors trying to also get those same exact keywords into googles first page of results.
How will you keep pace with them?

Since the beginning of SEO, you always hear the phrase "content is king", but true seo's know that this is only a part of the equation and that
alot of us also believe that backlinks rule supreme. Have you ever seen a site that is ranking in the top 10 of google for a tough keyword
that didnt have a massive amount of backlinks for it? Thats right, you haven't because google places a premium on backlinks. Backlinks are
different then reciprocal link building because with reciprocal linking you also need to place a link on your site and that isn't something
that google likes.

Link building takes alot of time and energy to do it, especially if your a legitimate SEO, but if if you put in that time, your clients will
always have a smile on their face as their website will always be found ranking high on google and the other search engiens which means
that they will always be having sales leads coming in and that equates into revenue and profits. Always make sure that when you hire an SEO
that they have a good link building program in place and put in the hours to make your website sing to the search engines (especially google).
Link building may not be the easiest job ever and it may takes many hours of hard work finding good links but it does pay off handsomely in the end.
